The first meeting to set up the Valle Tanaro Living Lab, in the framework of the Forest EcoValue project (Alpine Space Programme), took place on May 22 kindly hosted in the venue of the Municipality of Ormea.
The meeting was attended by 23 organizations, including the Forest Consortium, several land associations responsible for managing parts of the local forests, a mycological group with extensive experience in the sector, and representatives from various municipalities.
The meeting offered an important opportunity to discuss the issues hindering forest management, identify the driving forces in the area, and determine its specific needs. Additionally, it allowed participants to recognize the main points of interest to address, identify some best practices already in place in the area, and gain new insights for potential business models.
The meeting laid the foundation for an effective and sustainable collaboration in enhancing the forest resources of the Valle Tanaro.
